The River — Two Ways of Learning

The River — Two Ways of Learning

Two friends came to a wide river.

One jumped in at once, gasping from the cold, but soon swimming freely.

The other placed a toe in first, then a foot, then slowly let the water rise. Step by step, he crossed.

Both reached the other side.

Both learned the water in their own way.

Learning works the same. Some minds leap, some step. One is not better than the other. The wisdom is to notice your style — and honor it.
