How to use your activities calmly and with confidence.

HOW TO USE PICK&PLAY MUSICALITY

This guide applies to all Pick&Play activities.

READ THE SIMPLE GUIDE

Pick&Play Musicality is designed for children from 1 year of age and for parents who want to share music in a calm, joyful, and intentional way.

  • Each Pick&Play activity includes 3 options
  • Each option is one complete activity
  • Use one option at a time
  • The other options are for another moment

You don’t need much preparation.

Once you know the flow, everything feels natural.

The Pick&Play flow (always the same)

You are the guide.

Your child learns through looking, listening, and discovering.

Every Pick&Play activity — in each option — follows the same structure:

  • Watch & Learn – short video guide for parents
  • Follow & Play

    Prep – what to prepare

    Input – show and present

    Output – your child responds

Watch & Learn (for parents)

  • Short video guide in each option
  • For parents only — children do not need to watch

You learn:

  • what the activity is about
  • how it flows
  • what matters (and what doesn’t)

Watch once or return anytime.

Follow & Play

Prep

  • what to print
  • which cards to use
  • what to have ready

Each option shows this clearly.

Input — the key moment

  • present new sounds, images, or patterns
  • your child does not respond
  • they simply absorb

Cards

  • show one card for about 1 second
  • keep the pace quick and smooth

Audio

  • use one audio set only
  • one set = one activity
  • different sets are used on different days

Output — your child’s moment

Your child may:

  • point
  • choose
  • name
  • match
  • respond in their own way
  • no correcting
  • no pressure

Confidence grows through trying.

Repetition rules

  • repeat each activity 6–15 times over a few days
  • if repeating the same option, take a 5-minute break
  • always stop before your child wants to stop

Ending early keeps joy alive.

Role switch (optional)

From time to time, we recommend switching roles.

Children love it — and they learn deeply by teaching.

Using the materials

You will use:

  • printed cards (essential)
  • audio and video support
  • the Prep · Input · Output flow
  • no rush
  • no test

Your presence is enough.

Printing and preparing the cards

  • printing the cards is required
  • print single-sided

After printing:

  • place two related cards together (front and back)
  • insert them into one clear office sleeve
  • add a piece of thick paper or cardstock inside the sleeve for support

This makes the cards:

  • stiff
  • easy to hold
  • comfortable to use on the floor or with small hands

Laminating is optional.

One important note

You may hear words like “step” in the videos.

They come from the full Musicality Course.

Pick&Play is lighter and simpler.

You don’t need to track steps.

Just follow:

  • Prep · Input · Output

About sound and volume

For the best experience:

  • play the audio through a speaker
  • do not use the phone speaker
  • sound should surround the child, not come from one small point

Keep the volume gentle and comfortable.

Recommended volume for young children:

  • 50–60 dB – ideal (quiet room, soft conversation level)
  • up to 65 dB – acceptable for short moments

Avoid:

  • loud or sharp sound
  • placing the speaker very close to the child
  • turning the volume up to “feel the music”

If you can talk normally over the music, the volume is right.

Music should embrace the child, not overwhelm their ears.

One more thing

Pick&Play Musicality is a light, flexible selection from the full Musicality Course.

Designed for:

  • short moments
  • shared attention
  • real connection

You don’t need to do everything.

One small moment already does a lot.

Enjoy your time together,

COMMON QUESTIONS

Short answers to support you while you play and learn with your child.

  • Can I Start Now?

    You Can Start Now

Your baby’s brain is growing fast from the very first days — so there’s no reason to wait.

Short, joyful moments are enough to make real change. You don’t need talking, walking, or any big milestones to begin.

Tiny steps, done daily, build strong pathways for life.

You can start now — in minutes, with what you already have.

  • Can I Really Do This?

You Can Teach With What You Have

You don’t need special skills — your child already learns from the way you play, talk, move, and explore together.

My method gives you tiny, clear steps that fit your day.

I turn early-learning science into simple, fun moments you can do in minutes — imperfectly, naturally, and confidently.

  • What If I'm Wrong?

    You Can Trust Your Instincts

It’s not about being perfect in TalentsGarden — it’s about being present (and maybe getting your hands a little dirty, like any good gardener 😌).

With simple steps and loving support, you’ll always know what to do next.

Your child won’t remember flawless — they’ll remember fun, love, and you being right there.
